Dr. Prashanth Gowda is a distinguished pediatrician and neonatologist, recognized as one of India’s leading experts in pediatric healthcare. As the founder of DYU Child Development Centre, Bengaluru and Director of DYU Healthcare India, he brings a wealth of experience, academic excellence, and a deep commitment to advancing child healthcare solutions globally.

With an impressive educational background, Dr. Gowda holds an MBBS from K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, a Diploma in Child Health from Gauhati Medical College, and a Diplomate in National Board (DNB) from St. Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore. His expertise is further solidified through a Clinical Fellowship in Perinatal Medicine from Columbia Asia Referral Hospital, accredited by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.

Driven by a passion for continuous learning and global impact, Dr. Gowda pursued advanced studies, earning a Postgraduate degree in Pediatric Nutrition from Boston University, an MSc in Neonatology from Southampton University, UK, and an Executive MBA from Harvard University, USA—earning him the distinction of being known as a Harvard-trained pediatrician. Additionally, he has specialized training in Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) from Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and Advanced Neonatal Nutrition from Porto, Portugal.

Currently, Dr. Prashanth Gowda serves as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology at Motherhood Hospital, Bangalore. His leadership extends beyond clinical practice, having served as the Karnataka Chapter Secretary of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) (2020-22) and an executive board member (2018-2020). He is also a national instructor for the NNF IAP NRP-FGM program, contributing significantly to neonatal and pediatric education in India.

His dedication to public health is evident in his role as a facilitator for the NHM, Government of India, Karnataka Saans Program, where he actively works towards improving neonatal healthcare across the country.
